Boscombe: parked cars in Florence Road
Just far enough from the beach and from the main shopping area to offer free and unlimited roadside parking, Florence Road is one of those side-roads where parked cars make through passage slow and awkward. Driveways and frontages have hopefully been left clear.

The western end of Westby Road is the last remaining dense bastion of bed & breakfasts in Boscombe. Nine can be seen here. As soon as larger establishments come up for sale, they are bought by developers who built expensive weekend flats.

Boscombe, road closure
The western end of Westby Road is closed for three hours this morning, to allow the delivery of concrete panels for Image An expensive business: £500 for council permission, £1000 for crane hire; the panels have come by road from Ireland, where Aggregates Levy is lower than the mainland, and so they are cheaper.
