East Stoke: the old post office and postbox № BH20 93
While the main road passes to the left, the old post office has a little driveway which runs at a considerably lower level. It closed down in 2001. The postbox alongside is emptied finally at 4pm on weekdays and at 9am on Saturdays.
The phone box, marked on the map, has now been removed but was there in 1994 - see Image

East Stoke: the post office
East Stoke's post office was essentially in the front room of this private house at Holmebridge, and closed in about 2000. Since then, it has changed little apart from the removal of the telephone box and, perhaps, a little deterioration of the property: see Image
