This is a mixture of rural villages and towns edging on to the greater conurbation area of Poole, also encompassing Wareham forest.

Priorities

1 Oct 2023Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) We will engage with our communities to understand the levels of antisocial behaviour in our area.
We will work with partners to problem solve and create effective plans to deal with antisocial behaviour and target activity to protect communities.
Response (31 Mar 2024)

Reported ASB has been steadily declining over recent years and local teams prioritise these types of incidents in an effort to tackle them quickly and effectively.
We work closely with targeted Youth Workers and the Community Safety Team (CST) to have joined up problem solving plans, some of which involve working towards Community Protection Orders to limit the impact of certain individuals causing a nuisance in local communities.
The team are in the process of obtaining Criminal Behaviour Orders in Purbeck - these are proven to be very successful in reducing or even stopping ASB.
We have dedicated patrol plans in place for locations that are subject to ASB reports and have worked with the CST to deploy overt CCTV cameras in these locations which has also proven successful.

1 Oct 2023

Drug Dealing including County Lines activity

We will respond to community intelligence and take positive action in tackling drug related activity.

Response (31 Mar 2024)

We have been responding to community information and have executed Warrants across Purbeck targeting drug dealers.
We are focussed on the prevention and disruption of County Lines drug activity in the local area.  We are involved in weekly intelligence meetings and take specific actions as a result.  We are relentless in targeting those involved in illegal drug activity in the community and will act on information provided to us.
