A huddle of cottages and houses, originally housing quarrymen. The area is thick with old stone quarries, and one or two that are still worked.

Acton: postbox № BH19 83
This little postbox is accompanied by a Langton Matravers Parish noticeboard. The advertised last collection time is 4:15pm on weekdays – a similar time to nearby boxes – but a couple of hours earlier than any nearby box on a Saturday, at 7:30am.
