Brownsea Castle Gatehouse, Brownsea Island
Grade II Listed gatehouse of about 1854. The castle is on the site of a fort or blockhouse built by Henry VIII 1545-47 that was converted to a house in 1726 and remodelled in the mid 19th century only to be gutted by fire and rebuilt in 1897 by architect Philip Brown of Southampton, according to Pevsner.

Outside seating
A pleasant courtyard seating area at the Brownsea Island Café. However most people choose to use the one at the other side as that has a sea view towards Sandbanks and the Poole Harbour entrance.

West Cottage and East Cottage, Brownsea Island
Pair of cottages formerly a school and school house from the first half of the 19th century and Grade II Listed. The brick building at the rear is the Grade II Listed Carpenter's Cottage and National Trust Shop and Information Centre that was formerly a cottage attached to a boathouse or workshop.

Villano Caf? Courtyard, Brownsea Island, Dorset
Early in the day, and the courtyard is empty. On such a warm, sunny, morning, everybody wanted to sit on the terrace, located on the other side of the café, in order to enjoy the sea views.
