The commemorative plaque on the side of the Sykeside Hotel for Mr Alan Rawsthorne, who was born at Deardengate House, Haslingdon. Mr Rawsthorne was a classical composer, but did compose film scores, e.g. The Cruel Sea, and guitar pieces, which were completed by Mr Julian Bream.

"Sykeside Country House Hotel" Road End, Haslingden, BB4 6QE
For my 4,000th photo I thought I would use a well known local landmark
"Sykeside Country House Hotel is a privately owned, family run hotel found directly in the centre of the Rossendale valley.
The hotel itself is set within a late 19th century building, and has been home to a number of important people including the late composer Alan Rawsthorne."
