Ewood Bridge & Edenfield railway station (site), Lancashire
Opened in 1848 by the East Lancashire Railway, later part of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway, on the line from Bury to Bacup, this station closed in 1972. View north east towards Rawtenstall, from a passing steam train. The line was reopened by a heritage railway from Heywood to Rawtenstall but when this image was taken, Ewood Bridge station had not reopened.

Old Milestone by the B6527, Blackburn Road, Ewood Bridge
Carved stone post by the B6527 (was A56), in parish of HASLINGDEN (ROSSENDALE District), Ewood Bridge, East of bridge, on South side of road. Erected by the Elton & Blackburn turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- : (Haslingden / 2) : : (Bury / 6) : Milestone Society National ID: LA_BYHS06.

Disused Railway Station
This is the now disused Ewood Bridge and Edenfield railway station that closed in 1966 on the now preserved East Lancashire Railway. The bridge over the railway is the B6527 road.
