The old windmill across the Levels
A view from Lollover Hill northwards to the Walton Hill, with the whitewashed old windmill a stand-out landmark. The old windmill opened in 1714 and ground wheat until about 1906. Thereafter it fell into disuse and abandoned; in 1926 a local vicar bought it and transformed it into a residential home. Despite losing it sails and having some extensive work done on it, the building still commands a fine position.
