OS benchmark - Washwood Heath, Highfield Rd railway bridge
An OS cutmark on the parapet wall of the bridge over the railway. It was originally levelled, probably in 1964, at 114.58m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn.

New housing and old commercial properties on Washwood Heath Road
The older buildings still have the remains of the 'ghost writing' on the gable wall; it's not clear quite what was being advertised - the only parts I can make out are the letters 'N & S' at the top of the display, and possibly 'CONATO' at the bottom.
