The Royal Oak, Manor Lane, Quinton
This large pub was rebuilt in the 1930's in the mock-Tudor style, which was popular at the time. It replaced an earlier pub of the same name, on the same site which, judging by old photos, probably was converted from two or more cottages. The original pub was certainly there for much or all of the Victorian era, and possibly was even earlier.

Roundabout on the B4043 at Quinton
This side of the roundabout, the B4043 is known as Spies Lane. On the far side it is Manor Lane. The Royal Oak pub can be seen in the distance. The other two roads are Carters Lane and Kent Road.

This was once a thriving local shopping area with a pub to the left & two filling stations (one each side of Spies Lane) to the right. Now it's just a busy junction.
