Templewood Primary School
Templewood was one of 22 new schools built be Hertfordshire County Council in 1949-50, the third year of its ambitious school building programme. Listed Grade 2*, it is one of the most attractively grouped and detailed and certainly the most attractively situated, against Sherrardspark wood and retaining as many trees as possible on site. The hedge along the roadside, however, makes for only fleeting public views; this is through the southern entrance gate from Pentley Park.
