How Wood: Railway line to St Albans Abbey
Viewed from the Hyde Lane pedestrian crossing of the railway, this is the St Albans Abbey branch line, looking in the direction of St Albans. Many years ago this was the site of a railway junction with a short-lived freight line to the former Napsbury station on the Midland Railway about two kilometres to the east. The railway was however closed before the First World War.

How Wood: Park Street Lane railway bridge
This skew bridge carries the single track branch railway line from Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey over Park Street Lane. The yellow and black edging serves as a warning of the limited clearance to drivers of large vehicles. The height restriction is 13' 9" or 4.19 metres between the two vertical white bars.
