Old Milestone by the A1000, Great North Road, Hatfield Parish
Stone post (plate lost) by the A1000, in parish of HATFIELD (WELWYN HATFIELD District), Great North Road, near Buttfield Cottage, on the verge, on East side of road. St Albans stone, erected by the Galley Corner to Lemsford turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : (Hatfield / 1 / Barnet / 8) : Milestone Society National ID: HE_LY19.
