Marquis House, Hatfield
This former post office and telephone exchange on Great North Road was first opened in 1936. It was designed by Frederick Llewellyn in the style adopted by the General Post Office in that period. Today it is used as a general office block but still looks a fine building. See also Image

Hatfield station, ECML 1992
View northward, towards Hitchin and the North, also formerly St Albans (closed 1/10/51, goods 5/10/64) and Dunstable via Welwyn Garden City and Luton (closed 26/4/65). The main line from King's Cross was electrified to Hitchin in 1976 and an Up local operated by a Class 317 EMU is arriving. The station was completely rebuilt prior to the electrification has been rebuilt again recently (2013).

Hatfield railway station, Hertfordshire
Opened in 1850 by the Great Northern Railway on its line from London Kings Cross to Stevenage. View south towards Welham Green and London. In the 7 years since Image was taken, a new multi-storey car park has appeared to the left and lifts have been added to the footbridge.
