Former tollhouse
Surveyed by the Milestone Society. This building is on the A97 eastwards out of Huntly at the junction with Old Toll Road east of the railway station. It is now called Rose Cottage. There are windows on the far side of the protruding front so good views up and down the road.

Former goods shed at Huntly station
A rare survival from the days when nearly every country station had its good sidings and shed. See also Image Its present use is unclear. The portable buildings in the foreground were associated with the upgrade of the railway between Inverness and Aberdeen.

Footbridge at Huntly station
We had been dropped off by a substitute bus from Dyce at the far side of the bridge and told to carry our cases across it, only to realise later that the single decker coach could have come under the railway bridge and dropped us off right next to this platform!
The superstructure (deck and railings) looks modern, probably from when the station buildings were replaced in 1999, but by comparing Image taken in 1971 it seems the supporting ironwork is original of c.1854.
