Remains of the Aberdeenshire canal
The canal was opened in 1805 but closed in 1854 so that the Great North of Scotland Railway could lay tracks along its course. There is supposedly a canal milepost in the vicinity, but I could not locate it: https://canmore.org.uk/site/215409/aberdeenshire-canal-milepost-16-port-elphinstone .
