Cross-slacks
There seem to be four buildings on the map at Cross-slacks. The nearest house is modern, but the red-roofed shed to the right may be an older cottage.

Gamrie Free Kirk
This is marked on the first and second editions of the six-inch map as a Free Kirk, and on the first edition of the 25-inch map as a United Free Kirk. You just about need a degree in it to be able to understand the splits and recombinations of the presbyterian churches in Scotland. If it rates a mention in 'The Buildings of Scotland' I have yet to find it, but it was built to a design by James Duncan of Turriff and opened in 1866.
