Chalmers' Hospital, Banff
The striking old block of the town hospital was erected in 1861 and is B-listed (LB21978): http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB21978 . Local merchant Alexander Chalmers of Clunie left a bequest of £70,000 (equivalent to about £6 million in 2018) to fund it.

Banff railway station (site), Aberdeenshire
Opened in 1860 as the terminus of the Banff Portsoy & Strathisla Railway, later part of the Great North of Scotland Railway, on the line from Tillynaught. This station closed to passengers in 1964 and completely in 1968.
View south west at the former forecourt. The station building was approximately where the nearest house now is with the goods shed to the right of the image. After closure the road was diverted to cut through the site.
