Market Cross, Fraserburgh
The market cross in Saltoun Square was erected soon after 1603 when burgh status was granted to Alexander Fraser 8th laird of Philorth. At the top of the pillar is the Saltoun Arms. The cross was restored in 1988.

Lifeboat Memorial Statue
The figure of a lifeboatman looking down the entrance channel of Fraserburgh harbour . Erected in 2010 in memory of 13 lifeboatmen lost on the lifeboats Lady Rothes, John and Charles Kennedy and the Duchess of Kent.

Fishing Boats in Fraserburgh Harbour
Fraserburgh ("The Broch") is famous for its fishing industry which has been reduced since this was taken in the 1990s. The FR mark is Fraserburgh while the BF means Banff.

Purse seine boats landing herring
These Peterhead (PD) fishing boats are landing herring. The picture dates back to 1970 after which the herring fishery collapsed in the North Sea due to over-fishing.
