Former Railway Bridge
The bridge was built to carry the railway from Ellon to Fraserburgh across the North Ugie Water. The railway route is now the Formartine and Buchan Way.

Strichen Railway Station
on the Buchan & Formartine Line Walkway. Some of the old station buildings on this disused rail-line - now an excellent leisure walking route - have been refurbished into fine homes.

Bridge Street, Strichen
From the bridge over the North Ugie. On Mormond Hill at the top of the street and in another square can be seen Scotland's only white horse dating from around 1800 and not chalk but quartz.
