"Gonnae gi' us our ba' back?"
This lonely football caught my eye at the end of tonight's Scottish Cup tie between Peterhead and Dundee. If you look closely you'll see 'PFC' written on it in marker pen! With the solutions to all problems now available online, it will no longer be insider knowledge that all that is needed to remove permanent marker pen is non-permanent marker pen. Anyway, this ball was safely placed in a groundsman's bag shortly after the picture was taken. It was taken from the East touchline at Balmoor Stadium. The 5th Round tie, like all the others this year, went with form. Despite a good showing by Peterhead early on, Dundee, who are two divisions higher, eventually ran out comfortable winners 3-0. They don't pronounce Ls up here, hence the picture title. 'Ball', 'wall' and 'all' are the ones that come to mind first, having been here (and busily eavesdropping!) for a couple of days.
