Hydrogen bus...
...on display at Gordon Barracks at an open-day. Hydrogen gas is generated in electrolytic cells at Kittybrewster Depot and an on-board fuel cell powers the bus, which is (almost) pollution free and silent. One charge is enough to power the bus on all its daily services. Aberdeen is a world leader in developing this technology: http://www.aberdeencity.gov.uk/council_government/shaping_aberdeen/Shaping_Aberdeen_Hyrdogen_Bus.asp .

Coat of arms...
...on top of the Junior Ranks' Club, Gordon Barracks. The magnificent Hanoverian (1714-1800) Royal Arms cast in Coade stone (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coade_stone ) must have come from elsewhere because manufacture of this 'artificial stone' ended around the 1840s and the building dates from the 1930s. Note that this is the 'English' version of the Hanoverian arms (three lions to the left of the first quarter): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_coat_of_arms_of_the_United_Kingdom . It would be interesting to know the history of this remarkable piece.
