Deeside View
Looking down Deeside View from the end of the top row of houses. The couple with the dog called me over and explained that the churned-up state of the grass was due to emergency vehicles, called to assist when a man fell down the nearby bank into the burn, getting bogged down. He thought I was photographing the grass and wished to assure me that it would be put to rights.

Deeside Brae
These are the backs of house that front on Deeside Brae, or it might be Deeside View - the maps are slightly ambiguous. More to the point, the berm on the left has obliterated a mapped track that I planned to take, and it is planted with hawthorn, so I had to slither down and walk along outside the garden fences.

A90 approach to Aberdeen
The main road to Dundee and points south. It is called Stonehaven Road, but must people just call it the A90. Houses in Kincorth to the right.

Burn of Leggart
This is the first point at which the burn really looks like a burn, because upstream of here it is rather hidden among vegetation.

Dean of Leggart
Strictly speaking, the Den of Leggart is the gully beyond the dead tree through which the Burn of Leggart flows.

Ploughed Field
The transition here from city to countryside is quite abrupt. The houses on the skyline are on the other side of the dual carriageway that used to be the main A90 until the opening of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route, and behind the bank to their left is the top row of houses in the developments west of the road.
