Former General Post Office, Crown Street
This was a P.O. building to be proud of but today Aberdeen's G.P.O. has been "downsized" and relocated to shared accommodation. This magnificent baronial and castellated pile was built in 1907 - architect, W.T. Oldrieve.

Former Aberdeen General Post Office
Ca. 1905. An astonishing blend of Scottish baronial with renaissance details (although some say it looks likes it's made of Lego bricks). Once one of the most important buildings in town, but now, alas, disused whilst the Post Office has relocated to the basement of a newsagents in the St Nicholas shopping arcade. Sic Transit Gloria
The utter granite magnificence of the main doorway of the former main Aberdeen post office on Crown Street. The building is now derelict and conversion to apartments seems to be its only hope.
