The North Star, Harbour Street, Lerwick
Formerly a cinema, and subsequently a nightclub and music venue. According to Shetlopedia, 'The Picture Palace' originally opened in 1913 and the cinema finally closed in 1989, by which time it was known as the North Star. It continued as a nightclub and music venue, and artists who have performed at the venue have included Idlewild, Mani (Stone Roses), Peter Hook (New Order), Durutti Column, The Delgados and Ocean Colour Scene. Lerwick: postbox № ZE1 11, Market Street
Like all boxes in Lerwick, this Elizabeth II-reign postbox has two weekday 'final collection' times, one for off-islands next-day delivery (11:30am) and one for Shetland items (5:15pm). The single advertised Saturday collection is 10:15am.

Mooney's Wake, Harbour Street, Lerwick
It would appear to be law that every town in the EU has an Irish pub, and Lerwick was no exception, although the pub closed in 2007; mind you, it was still called the Excelsior Bar last time I was in it.
