Raskelf railway station (site), Yorkshire
Opened in 1841 by the Great North of England Railway, soon to become part of the North Eastern Railway, on the line from York to Darlington. The station would have been rebuilt in 1933 when the line was quadrupled, but closed to passengers in 1958 and completely in 1964. View south east towards Alne and York.

Site former Raskelf station, East Coast Main Line 1995
View SE, towards York and the South: ex-NER section of the ECML across the Plain of York, electrified 1990; the section between Alne and Pilmoor was only three-track until 6/60. Raskelf station was closed to passengers 5/5/8, to goods 18/8/64.

Approaching Hag Lane Bridge
Recently resurfaced road heading for Raskelf, approaching the bridge that crosses the East Coast Mainline. The building on the right is Station Cottages, although Raskelf Station itself disappeared in the mid 1960's.
