Westerdale farm
Not the Westerdale valley in the North York Moors, but a farm near the A64. Seen from the bridleway that heads between the barns.

Bridleway near Westerdale farm
The map shows the bridleway going straight across a corner of this field, but anyone not wanting huge clods of mud sticking to their boots would opt to go around the field edge.

Bridleway towards Westerdale
Heading east towards Westerdale farm on bridleway number 25.51/6. The surface looks pleasantly grassy, but beneath lurks mud of the liquid variety, so a step forward may result in a squirt of mud up the trouser leg.
