77 Squadron Memorial, Yorkshire Air Museum
The memorial to personnel of RAF 77 squadron is situated just inside the entrance of the museum. A marble column bearing the squadron badge is topped by wrought iron artwork. Plaques on the semi-circular wall of the memorial bear details of the squadron's history. Behind the hedge are buildings of the adjacent industrial estate.

Yorkshire Air Museum Memorial Garden
The garden was established in remembrance of the personnel from the Allied Air Forces killed during the war. The centrepiece is a brick plinth on which is mounted a weathered and broken propeller, recovered from a crashed bomber in the sea near Whitby.

Yorkshire Air Museum
The main access road is to the right. The flag on the extreme left is in the garden of remembrance behind the tall green hedge. The building in the background houses the museum's office. The aircraft is of course a Hawker Hurricane but is not the only information to be gleaned from this image.
