Driffield YO25
This former Corn Exchange on Exchange Street was built in 1842. It is adjacent to the rear of The Bell Hotel and it may have been been subsumed into that complex. It did however, serve as The Town Hall for a period and it is still identified as such above its main entrance. An entry in The Leeds Mercury dated 10 February 1937 highlights the fact that an estimate of £4,000 was provided by a firm of builders "for transforming the old Corn Exchange into the Town Hall and Public Library. In addition https://driffieldtowncouncil.gov.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/Town-Trail-publisher-V3.pdf refers to the old town hall, formally the corn exchange, as having been incorporated into the Bell Hotel.
