OP YULETIDE

Op YULETIDE is another busy period in the NPT Calendar due to increased footfall in town centres. Staff from Driffield NPT have numerous abstractions during this period with the aim of:

· High visibility patrols around the town centre to keep ASB related logs at a minimum
· Monitor calls for service to affect where Driffield NPT focuses its resources
· Identify and provide intervention to those causing ASB issues to minimise any further disruption

Driffield Christmas Light Switch On was attended by staff from Driffield NPT on 28/11/2025. The event was well organised and there were no incidents of note.

ASB Driffield TOWN – Raised by Driffield Town Council

Concerns have been raised by Driffield Town Council in relation to ASB in the town.

Town Councillors were reassured by police attendees at a recent meeting that ASB in the town spiked during the summer period (as is often seen during this period) but is now decreasing again as we enter the winter months.

A Patch Walk including ERYC ASB Team, ERYC Housing and Driffield NPT was arranged for 05/12/2025 and Driffield NPT will continue to patrol any hotspot areas identified and liaise with the town council.

Humber Talking is still being undertaken in the Driffield and Rural area.

Burglaries in Driffield

There have been a number of Burglaries and Theft of Motor Vehicles in the Driffield area during January 2026.
A male has been arrested and has been released on Police Bail. Further enquiries are ongoing.
Driffield NPT will continue with HumberTalking in the affected area and patrols have been increased.

Disruption of Drug activity – Ongoing core priority

We continue to review and act on drugs intelligence. For operational and data protection reasons we are unable to give specific details of locations / premises or persons that we are currently investigating. We have been working with other agencies to tackle individuals of concern linked to drug misuse.

We ask that you report any concerns around drugs misuse that you have. You may have information that adds to an ongoing concern, and this can really help when we apply for Warrants. You can speak to us at any Police Station in confidence or alternatively report anonymously via ‘CrimeStoppers’ at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/

Proactive high-visibility patrols have been utilised and as a result a number of individuals will soon receive ABC's (Acceptable Behaviour Contracts) or Fairway letters.
