The two buildings on the right were the fire station,the large doors in front of the car are obvious.The large new house to the left is two houses and has been built on what was the fire station yard.All four properties are holiday cottages and cannot be lived in permanently.

Sledmere Fire Station (disused)
Once the least busy station within the Humberside area (only 20 callouts in 2007), the Retained Duty System station had trouble in recruiting firefighters from within the Sledmere area. This need had in the past been met through the employees of the nearby Sledmere House.
