Trans Pennine Trail Millennium Milepost
"1000 Millennium cast iron mileposts were funded by the Royal Bank of Scotland to mark the creation of the National Cycle Network, and sited along cycle routes through the UK."
This one, which appears to have received an unsympathetic coat of yellow paint, is sited beside the Trans Pennine Trail at Bishopthorpe.

Former York-Selby railway line, Bishopthorpe
This was the East Coast Main Line until 1983 when it was diverted to run west of Selby. Now a footpath, but the Appleton Road bridge remains.
