Oliver Sheldon House
Situated in Aldwark, this fine house dates externally from around 1720, although there are older parts of the structure within. The house was restored in 1969 for York Civic Trust.

Oliver Sheldon House, Aldwark, York
An eight-bay house of c1720 with rusticated doorcase (Image]). Hidden inside are fragments of C15th timber framing, and the dormers still have casements. Grade II* listed.
A York Civic Trust plaque records that the building was given to them by J.W. Cameron & Co. The Trust restored it in 1969 and named the building after its founder and secretary.
