A grey day at Malton Station
I have not adjusted this in any way and it reflects a typically door December day in 2015. This end of the platform is obviously not regularly used.

Malton Station
This opened in 1845 and serves the York to Scarborough line. There were former branches to Pickering and Driffield. There was once an overall roof and this canopy has been relocated from Whitby. The station is actually over the river in Norton.

Malton station, 2001
View eastward, towards Scarborough, on the former Down platform, the only one left after the drastic rationalisation of the station in 1989. This is the main line from York to Scarborough, formerly to Whitby also and branches to Driffield and from Gilling - see my Image for details. [Note the photographer's shadow].
