Milham Dale
It runs down into Thixen Dale. Two Wolds Walking routes pass this way, the North Wolds Walk (20 miles) and the Chalkland Way (40 miles). Both excellent walks and proof that East Yorkshire is not flat.

Head of Milham Dale
Milham Dale, like many other valleys on the Wolds begins as just a shallow fold in the hills, which at this point is arable land. A farm track leads towards Thixendale Grange with the dry green valley visible further down.
