Mulgrave House and St Mary's church yard
Mulgrave House fronts onto Castle Road but backs on to the cliff edge path shown in Image Between Mulgrave House and the white building is Mulgrave place, leading to the cliff edge and passing Castle-by-the-Sea, see Image the foreground is dominated by the burial ground around St Mary's church, many of the headstones and chest tombs here are 18th century.

St Mary's from near the castle, Scarborough
The church whose graveyard famously contains Anne Brontë, who died in Scarborough on May 28 1849. The house in the foreground to the right is The Towers, dating from 1860.

Bench mark on St Mary's, Scarborough
This bench mark is on the north facing buttress at the north east end of St Mary's. According to the history of the church this part is called 'modern', that is, it dates to the period 1848-1850. However, there was a church on the site at least as far back as 1150.
