OS benchmark - Wightwick Mill building
An OS cutmark on the brickwork of Wightwick Mill. It was last levelled in 1957 at 100.008m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn, but also appears on old maps with a height of 328.6ft above Liverpool datum.

By-weir overspill at Wightwick Mill lock
Very similar in design to the next one 'upstream' Image and built to take excess water from the upper canal pound to the lower one, bypassing the lock at Wightwick Mill. Rather oddly, this one doesn't make an appearance in the Grade II listing given to the lock and bridge here.

There's a 30-limit along here, and don't you forget it
One of several speed cameras (and the associated road markings) along this stretch of the A454 between Compton and Trescott. The speed limit, coming into town, drops from 50 to 30mph about 400 yards west of this point, but they've obviously had problems in the past with traffic still running at high speed, so there are now quite a few 'enforcement' cameras erected. Or fund-raisers, depending upon your point of view...
