The Hollybush near Spring Hill, Wolverhampton
The Hollybush on the A449 Stourbridge/Kidderminster road has had a "facelift" with extra wood cladding, and lost its famous function room, which had hosted many a party, reception, club, society and gig, and become a modern expanded eating house with its "two meals for the price of one" nonsense which so annoys single people who fancy a pint and a lunch. It still sells beer, though I haven't tried it out yet!

Update 26.11.10
"Pint of mild, please."
"We don't sell mild."
So much for tradition. Both Bank's and Marston's were traditionally renowned for good milds.

The Holly Bush on Penn Road, Wolverhampton
A large and popular main road pub on the A449 approaching Wolverhampton from Kidderminster. It serves good meals at a fair price, and Marston's (Banks's) Ales. It has a good function room available for hire. I hope this doesn't go the way of many other large main road pubs.

The Hollybush near Spring Hill, Wolverhampton
This large public house is on the A449 Penn Road by the carriageway approaching Wolverhampton. The bus stop is right outside the front door! In this image, the pub has been painted in an attractive creamy colour which I have been unable to reproduce on this bright sunlit spring morning.
