Woolworths, 16 High Street
This store looks rather different to most Woolworths branches because it has had to be adapted to an old building. The branch will close on Tuesday 6th January 2009 but, when visited two days before, there was not a great deal of stock left and most of that is probably unlikely to sell. A lot of the display units were marked as sold. Image Update: In July 2009 the store became a branch of The Original Factory Shop. Photograph is here:- Image

Woolworths (close-up), 16 High Street
On the last Sunday of trading, the Bridgnorth branch of Woolworths was filled with shoppers but the better items had virtually all gone. Only a few obscure DVD & CD titles remained, plus a collection of children's clothes and other odds and ends, probably few of which will sell. But the 50p ice cream scoop seemed a good buy. Update - please see:- Image

The Original Factory Shop (former Woolworths store), 16 High Street
This used to be a Woolworths store and was one of the last to close, on 6th January 2009, following the UK Woolworths company going into administration. The Original Factory Shop took over about 20 former Woolworths stores, and opened this one on the 14th July 2009. They sell over-makes, cut-labels and seconds in a wide range of well known brands. This link shows the property when it was a Woolworths store, two days before closure:- Image
