Iconic former warehouse in Bridgnorth, Shropshire
Restoration work was done on this Grade II listed building in 2012-2013. According to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-shropshire-19366390 the former Ridley Seed Merchants building on Mill Street, Bridgnorth, dates back to 1675, so presumably that was an earlier structure on the site. There is a plaque attached to the building which states: Ridley's Seeds Early 19th Century. This was one of many warehouses when the River Severn was a major highway for transportation of merchandise. Between the warehouse and the recommencement of the towpath was a small dock from which goods were hoisted into the warehouse. The British Listed Buildings website dates the present building as early 19th century. https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101177096-warehouse-occupied-by-messrs-se-and-a-ridley-bridgnorth

Ridley's Wall
An amazing bit of work when you think about it. I guess the bricks kind of made their own grid to keep it all lined up, but even so, producing something like this must have taken quite a long time. From a print, date not exact.

Bridgnorth - Former seedsmen's warehouse
Travelling westwards across the Severn Bridge in Bridgnorth this façade of an old seedsmen's warehouse is quite a dramatic sight. The sign says that S.E. & A. Ridley was established as long ago as 1616, but this building dates only from the early C19th. It is no longer a warehouse but instead houses a hair salon called "Beyond Beautiful" It is EH Grade II listed: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1177096
