Castle Hall (Bridgnorth)
Here is Castle Hall at Bridgnorth, which looks like this used to be a cinema back in its heyday.

West Castle Street
This street was constructed in the 18th century, although some of the buildings are later. Coming in on the left is New Road, which was constructed in the late 18th century, primarily to give carriages access to High Town. Previously vehicular traffic had to struggle up the narrow and steep Cartway.

OS benchmark - Bridgnorth, no 35 West Castle Street
The ruined remains of a benchmark in the stone step of no 35 West Castle Street; it looks like the (rather clumsy) installation of a dampproof course at some stage in recent years has smashed this one up. Originally levelled at 66.529m above Ordnance Datum Newlyn.

The Old Castle Inn at Bridgnorth, Shropshire
This very good public house is situated in West Castle Street. The real ale is well kept, and the Sunday lunches are not the cheapest, but are of excellent quality (portions are generous, so be hungry!).

Doolittle & Dalley office in Bridgnorth
My initial thought that the name was a modern concoction (perhaps to be memorable) was immediately dismissed when I realised that this is an estate agent's office (at 46 West Castle Street), and doing little and dallying are hardly likely to be aspects to attract people with a property to sell. The independent estate agents and letting agents who sell, let and manage residential, commercial and agricultural property in north Worcestershire and south Shropshire, were established in 1893.
