The A454 to Wolverhampton and beyond is on the left of the picture. The lane on the right serves Roughton Manor nearby, and joins the A454 by the golf club entrance past the distant patch of woodland (Roughton Coppice).

The A454 passes across this image on its way towards Wolverhampton, Walsall and Sutton Coldfield, though some sections have been renumbered as the road network developed.
Sheep are grazing here on land just north of Roughton Manor.
