Old Bank Chambers & St Peter's Chambers
A pair of office buildings of the late 18th century, which were originally known as Queen's Business College and the premises of Thorne Beckett and Co, and are currently occupied by a firm of solicitors. They attracted a Grade II listing https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/101282468-old-bank-chambers-and-st-peters-chambers-st-peters-ward#.Y5OtL3bP3IU & https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1282468 as early as 1949.

Wolverhampton, Lych Gate Tavern
2014 Good Beer Guide-listed pub off Queen Square. Internally, bars on two levels, with an outside drinking area. According to a plaque, the pub is partly C18 Georgian (seen here), and partly early C17 timber-framed. Nine cask ales were on offer at my visit, including some from Black Country Ales. http://www.lychgatetavern.co.uk/index-old.htm

Lych Gate Tavern pub sign, Wolverhampton
This is a brand new sign for a brand new pub (well, the building isn't quite brand new - 16th to 18th century). The building is Grade II listed.

Lych Gate Tavern, Wolverhampton
This is a rarity these days - a new (real) pub opening! It was serving ten real ales today (the Bradley's Finest Golden Bitter, 4·2%, £2.70, was excellent - and the correct temperature). The back of the building opening to Exchange Street is 16th century; the courtyard has now been fenced in so that tables and benches can be provided in a shady open-air drinking area. Bring your own food, or have a cheese and onion cob for 50p! Recommended :-)
The building is Grade II listed.
