Red Emma Blue Plaque, Wolverhampton
The Wolverhampton Civic Society Blue Plaque on the wall of Wolverhampton Magistrates' Court http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5123735 records that Emma Sproson (1867-1936) was Wolverhampton's first female councillor (1921-1927) and was a suffragette and socialist known as Red Emma.

Town Hall Clock, Wolverhampton
The building, which replaced a previously demolished town hall built in 1687, was designed by Manchester architect Ernest Bates and built by Phillip Horsman of Wolverhampton in the French Renaissance style, with a sandstone façade and rusticated plinth. Wolverhampton Town Hall
This is the Town Hall seen along North Street near Queen Square. It is used at present by the Magistrates Service. The building, which replaced an previously demolished town hall built in 1687, was designed by Manchester architect Ernest Bates and built by Phillip Horsman of Wolverhampton. It is in the French Renaissance style with a sandstone façade and rusticated plinth. The building was officially opened on 19th October 1871. Fact: Wolverhampton Town Hall held the Dutch crown jewels for the duration of the second world war.
