Council Housing - Pickering Road
The Pickering Road Estate is similar to other Wolverhampton overspill estates built in the mid 1950s in the neighbouring boroughs. The low brick walls are a feature shared with Long Knowle and Ashmore Park Estates.

Wednesfield High School
Late 1950s built school, formerly Wednesfield Grammar School before combining with the adjacent secondary modern school, March End, to become Wednesfield High. Ward's Bridge, Secondary Modern School across the road closed and is now the Jennie Lee Centre named after the former MP for the Cannock parliamentary constituency which for a time included Wednesfield.

Old Cut New Rise
This piece by David Bowcott dates from 2001 when the Wednesfield Bypass was constructed and is on the junction of Waddens Brook Road and March End Road. I don't think this was actually on the line of the old Bentley Canal which had been filled in some time previously.
