Council Housing - Pickering Road
The Pickering Road Estate is similar to other Wolverhampton overspill estates built in the mid 1950s in the neighbouring boroughs. The low brick walls are a feature shared with Long Knowle and Ashmore Park Estates.

Wednesfield High School
Late 1950s built school, formerly Wednesfield Grammar School before combining with the adjacent secondary modern school, March End, to become Wednesfield High. Ward's Bridge, Secondary Modern School across the road closed and is now the Jennie Lee Centre named after the former MP for the Cannock parliamentary constituency which for a time included Wednesfield.

Modern housing in 'Sanderson Park'
The fencing to the development on part of the former school playing fields celebrates local sporting heroine Tessa Sanderson CBE. Tessa attended the local school. She won an Olympic Gold and three Commonwealth Gold Medals in the javelin.
