Redevelopment at the Fir Tree Primary School site
The school on this site closed in 2006, after being amalgamated with the nearby Yew Tree school on Birchfield Way slightly to the ENE of here. It is now being redeveloped into housing.

Church of The Annunciation, Yew Tree Estate, West Bromwich
The mission church of the Annunciation on the corner of Redwood Road and Thorncroft Way on the Yew Tree estate was dedicated in 1958. Designed by Hickton, Madeley & Salt, it is of brick and consists of a hall, a sanctuary which can be shut off, and rooms along the north side. The church appeared not to be in use at the time of the photograph
