Neighbourhood Officer Details
I joined West Midlands Police in 2006 with the initial part of my service being based as a Response Officer in Wolverhampton before joining the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in 2009.
Since then I have worked in a number of different investigation roles mainly within the Public Protection Unit (PPU). I was promoted to sergeant in 2017 remaining within the PPU until 2020 when I became part of the planning team for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
After the Games I became the Detective Inspector for the investigation teams, firstly in Solihull and then from July 2023 in Sandwell.
I have only very recently taken responsibility for the Sandwell North constituency and I will be seeking to understand the issues and concerns of our communities and developing plans to address these.
At the heart of the North Sector is West Bromwich. West Bromwich is a town in Sandwell which is 7 miles northwest of Birmingham. It has an estimated population of 103,112 and is home to parts of Sandwell Valley Country Park and RSPB nature reserve.
Historically West Bromwich was a town which came to prominence during the Industrial Revolution as a manufacturing centre. Due to its location West Bromwich has key access to the motorway network. Famous individuals from the town include Robert Plant, Frank Skinner and Betty Boothroyd.
