Mildenham Mill
A no trespass picture. I wonder if the wheel and machinery survive here. This is powered by the Salwarpe and is one of three mills west of Droitwich. J Mader has contacted me to point out that part of the wheel is indeed visible in the photograph on the lower left side of the building under a brick ark and is probably a breastshot or undershot wheel. I'm grateful for that (I hadn't noticed).

Egg Lane near Hawford, Worcestershire
Looking towards Mildenham Mill (by the River Salwarpe), which was the last working water mill in Worcestershire, stopping commercially in 1947. Some restoration occurred in the 1960s leading to limited demonstration operations up until the early 1970s. The mill (Grade II listed) is now purely residential.

Egg Lane over the canal near Hawford, Worcestershire
The lane serves housing at and by the former Mildenham Mill. It crosses the Droitwich Barge Canal here. The mill ceased commercial operations in 1947, but partial restoration in the late 1960s led to limited demonstrations of flour milling up until the early 1970s.

Egg Lane Bridge near Hawford, Worcestershire
This is bridge No 4 across the Droitwich Barge Canal. Beyond it is Lock No 3. Turbulence in the water is being caused by the lock being emptied (to let me in!) Egg lane serves Mildenham Mill (off to the left), which was the last working water mill in Worcestershire, stopping in the late 1970s? (commercially in 1947).
