The Priory
The Council House The Priory was built in 1874-1880 for Alfred Miles Speer, an Irish merchant who traded with South American. Today the building is the offices of Malvern Hills Council.

Neo-Gothic porch to the Council House
Today this building is the Malvern Hills council house and is Grade II listed, see: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1156369
Previously this building was known as 'The Priory' and built in 1874-1880 for Alfred Miles Speer, an Irish merchant. The building replaced an earlier house on the site, also known as The Priory. This earlier house was the home and housed the consulting rooms of Dr James Manby Gully.
